Peanut Butter Brownies



Ingredients for 8 pieces (20cmx20cm baking tray)


100 g peanut butter(100% peanut butter)

80 g whole wheat flour

50 g Muscovado sugar(or any sugar)

50 g walnuts (roasted)

20g cocoa powder (unsweetened)

5 g baking powder

75 ml water

10 ml apple cider vinegar (vinegar)

Flax eggs (1 tablespoon ground flax seeds + 3 tablespoons water)


Preheat oven for 200℃ while you prepare the batter


STEP 1

Mix 1 tbsp ground flax seeds with 3 tablespoons water and let stand for 3 minutes.


STEP2

Add water, peanut butter and vinegar into the flax egg above and mix it.


STEP3

Combine walnuts, flour, baking powder, sugar and the wet ingredients roughly with a spatula.


STEP4

Lay a cookie sheet in a baking tray and spread the batter flat.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180℃ for 15 to 20 minutes.



👉Muscovado is a type of partially refined to unrefined sugar with a strong molasses content and I really like the rich flavour.

But you can use any sugar of your choice.


👉If your peanut butter is too solid you can warm the jar in a bowl of warm water as a preparation.Or add warm water instead of the cold water in the step2.
