Marble Cake

Ingredients for 8 slices (Gugelhupfform=German cake mold 22cm)


Spelt flour (Type 630) 400g

440 ml 100% orange juice

80 g lemon favored (rapeseed) oil

18 g BP

30g cornstarch

200g powdered sugar

2 tbsp cacao powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder (optional)

+about 10g of syrup or amaretto to brush on top

Preheat oven for 190-200℃

(drop temperature to 175℃ when you bake the cake)



Step 1

Sift all flours, sugar and baking powder ,turmeric powder in a big bowl.

Step2

Instead of greasing the cake mold with oil,

use it as a container for measuring oil.

So you don't need to add extra oil.

Also prepare orange juice here.

Step3

Slowly combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients.

Mix it well.

( But don't mix it too mush)

Step4

Pour only 650g yellow batter into the mold. Set aside.

Add 2tbsp of cacao powder in the rest of the batter and mix it well .

Step 6

Pour in the brown batter into the mold.

Step 7

Make a marble pattern with using a table spoon.

ree

Bake it for 45mins at 175-180℃.

Step6

As soon as the cake is baked ,remove it from the oven and brush 10ml of amaretto on top.

Let it cool for about 15minutes.


Step7

Carefully remove the cake from the mold.
