Mugi Miso Beans (Topping)

For this recipe you can use canned black beans or kidney beans.

ngredients
1 canned beans1tbsp olive oil
1tbsp tomato paste (or 1/2cup diced fresh tomato)
1tbsp mugi miso
1tbsp white wine or water (optional)
Black pepper to taste
Spiced of your choice (optional)
Step 1
Rinse the canned beans under water to remove extra starch.
Strain it, dry the beans roughly.
Step2
Warm oil in a frying pan.
Roast tomato paste until fragrant.
(Feel free to add garlic, ginger or some other spices of your choice )
Step3
Add the beans and cook them with the tomato paste over a medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Step4
Add miso paste and a small amount of white wine or water.
Stop cooking once the miso is dissolved.
You can party mash the beans if you would like.
Also it goes well with a slice of sourdough bread :)

Step5
Sprinkle some pepper to taste.
The beans are done.
Enjoy as a filling or topping of your dish such as tacos, rice, quinoa, salad etc.
