Quick Mango chutney

Quick Mango chatony



300 g frozen mango

1/4 cup frozen chopped onion

1tsp ginger


20ml water

20ml rice vinegar

20g cane sugar

1 tsp harissa paste

(or 1 tbsp sambal oelek paste)

A pinch of salt





STEP1

Add all the fresh ingredients in a sauce pan.

Let them simmer for 5mins or so.





STEP2 Add water, vinegar ,sugar and some spices. (or roasted spices of your choice)

I added 1tsp harissa paste this time.Sometimes I add 1tbsp Sambal oelek in stead.



STEP3

Cook it for another 5 minutes until the whole mixture get thicken just like a jam.

Finally sprinkle some salt.



Done!

I use this mango chutney to sweeten other dish, such as curry, stew,sauce and

salad dressings.

Or serve it with fried dumplings, spicy curry ,crackers and bagels.

I like to keep it less spicy so it’s more useful in my kitchen.
