STEP1
If you are using a typical German supermarket's tofu.
They come in 2 of 200g blocks.
Slice the tofu into 4 pieces each .
Sprinkle potato starch on each side of the tofu.
STEP2
🥣Mix all the ingredients in a bowl to create the batter.
STEP3
✂︎ Cut a big nori sheet (Nori sheet for sushi rolls) into 8 pieces.
Place one on each tofu slices.
It will stick well with the starch effortlessly.
Sprinkle some more starch on top of Nori sheet at the end.
STEP4
Dip each tofu slices in the batter and the final coating is panko bread crumbs.
Shake off any excess coating.
STEP5
Heat oil in a small pan and shallow fry them.
Frying takes about 5-6minutes at 175℃ until they turn golden brown.
When one side is golden, turn halfway through.
I usually use a very small frying pan so I don't have to pour a lot of oil.
(The oil amount should be about 0,5cm deep.)
STEP6
Transfer fried tofu on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Sprinkle some salt and black pepper.
Squeeze fresh lemon juice if you would like:)
Serve them with some salad or grilled veggies, fruits and carb of your choice.
