Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce — Two Ways
Condiments are getting more and more expensive these days, so why not make your own sweet chili sauce using fresh, simple ingredients?
This is the sauce I usually serve at my events. It might seem like “just” a condiment, so people rarely ask about the recipe — but here’s the secret: it’s completely homemade!
If you’ve been to one of my events, you might have already tried it. It’s made from only a handful of ingredients, yet it brings such a vibrant, flavourful touch to any dish.

Sweet Chili Sauce (simple)
Ingredients for a 200ml container
★100g red bell pepper (spitz paprika)
★10g finely chopped fresh garlic
★20g raw cane sugar
★1tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili flakes (you can modify the chili level)
100g water
5g corn starch
20g Sushi vinegar
👉Sushi vinegar is already seasoned so if you use any other vinegar add a pinch of sugar and salt)

How to make sweet chili sauce
Step 1
Add all the ingredients with ★ in a pot.
Stir it over a low to medium heat until some water comes out from fresh bell peppers. ( it takes about 3-5minutes)

Step 3

Mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl.
And then add it into the roasted pepper.

Step4
Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes.
(If the sauce is too thick , you can add more water later )

Step 5
The sauce is ready:)
Store it in a jar and keep cook in the fridge.

If you add 30g of creamy coconut milk and 30g of peanut butter to this sauce, it transforms into something different — rich, nutty, and just as delicious peanut coconut chili sauce.
