Sweet spicy tofu

ree

This recipe is for anyone who doesn’t want to cook anything today.

Because it’s so easy.

STEP1

Break tofu with your hand into a bite size pieces.

Place the tofu on a baking sheet.

For this recipe I used this edeka’s extra firm tofu (400g for 2 servings)

STEP2

Coat the tofu with a brush dipped in small amount of peanut oil.

(10 ml of oil is sufficient)

Bake them for 20mins (200℃)

If they are not crispy after the 20min, keep baking till they look like this.

If you have some bell peppers and sliced garlic ,bake them together

on the same tray.(I have one bell pepper and 1 glove of garlic in this picture)

STEP3

Let’s make easy sauce in a frying pan.

100 ml tomato ketchup (Alnatura/bio)

25ml light soy sauce

1tbsp pomegranate molasses

1tbsp sambal oelek

1tbsp freshly chopped ginger

ree

Mix all of these condiments in a frying pan.

Heat until bubbles appear then turn the heat off.

STEP4

Toss oven-baked vegetables and tofu in the sauce from step 3.

And it’s done!

Top with chopped Brazil nuts and roasted sesame seeds:)

By the way this is my current obsession👇

A bottle of pomegranate molasses from a Turkish supermarket.

You can replace this part with balsamic vinegar and a pinch of sugar.
