Crunchy Corn Tofu Sticks (GF)


This simple crunchy tofu sicks can make every tofu haters accept tofu:)

You can also use whole what flour or spelt flour but this time

I made the recipe with whole buckwheat flour and i really liked it.



Ingredients for 6 sticks

1/4 cup buckwheat flour(GF)

1/4 cup water plus 1tbsp water


1tbsp vegan broth powder

200g extra firm tofu (edeka's)


Peanut oil for shallow frying

2cups of corn flakes (crumbled)


STEP 1

Mix buckwheat flour first with half amount of water.

Then add the rest of the water to it will not get lumpy and becomes sticky.

STEP 2

Slice up one block (200g) of firm tofu into 6 sticks.

Sprinkle spices or vegan broth powder all over the sticks.


STEP 3

Dunk it into the batter.


Then, sprinkle corn flakes on the sticks and shallow fry them immediately.

Each side takes about 60 seconds usually.



Enjoy as is or with the sauce of your choice.

I served these sticks with my chimichurri sauce and

some other healthy whole foods:)


Sooo crunchy ( and they are for hours)
